The vent valve cannot be cleaned; it is recommended to buy a new one and install a ball valve between the 400 and air out for future servicing. The vent valve has excellent, solid Construction with a metal screw cap. It is easy to install with 1/8 NPT threads and a machined hex on the base for easy uninstallation. The key benefits of this vent valve are effortless air-venting, no gurgling sounds in the pipes, and the ability to operate with a minimum pressure of 10 psi. The product also comes at an affordable price and can function all 24/7.
