It is excellent for crafting and engraving as it is very sturdy and smooth, even at the edges. It engraves very well and creates a great contrast between the black and silver. The pack of 10 anodized aluminum sheet metal and plates receives mixed reviews. While some customers are satisfied with the quality, some are disappointed with the inConsistency in color and finish, and others report an anomaly between the anodized layer and the bare aluminum that can't be removed even after multiple passes.
