The kit comes with a bottle of hand sanitizer and an e-book with step-by-step instructions, experiments, and projects. The results obtained are easy to see with the naked eye so one does not need a microscope. The agar kit is not suitable for starting mushroom culture growth as it grows bacteria as well. After completing any experiment, a diluted bleach solution can be applied to the plates to sanitize them, after which they can be thrown away as biohazard waste. The shelf life of the plates is up to two years if the bag is not open, and once opened, it should be refrigerated.
