The Yamaha R-S201BL is a reasonably-priced receiver that allows the user to connect their turntable and stream music via Bluetooth. It is capable of handling up to four speakers at once, although some reviewers noted that the sound output is uneven when using both the A & B channels. It does not have a subwoofer output, but one can be connected using the bare speaker wire method. The frequency response is listed as 40Hz being the lowest, however, frequencies below 40Hz may exist in the signal but are too low to hear. It is not able to transmit to a Bluetooth-enabled speaker and needs to be connected to a Bluetooth transmitter. Many reviewers praised the sound quality and ease of connection with provided instructions. However, some noted that the unit quickly stopped working after a few months.
