It is not easily collapsible for portable use and assembly can be difficult for some due to the need for finger strength to bend and insert the rods, making it not recommended for location photographers. However, the modifier produces beautiful diffuse light and is compatible with Nikon Speedflashes and the Profoto D1 heads. Despite being highly reviewed for build quality and light quality, some customers found the difficult assembly to be a drawback and suggested the Westcott Rapid Octa Softbox for Profoto as a more user-friendly alternative.
