Software Development Editorial Review
**** "Kotlin Development for Android: (Create Your Own App)" presents a mixed reception among customers. The book is praised for its clear and easy-to-follow writing style, making it suitable for complete beginners who have yet to dip their toes into Kotlin or Android development. Many users appreciate the practical approach that allows readers to build three simple applications, which helps to build confidence in using the Kotlin language and Android Studio. However, several critiques have emerged regarding the depth of content provided. Experienced programmers indicate that the book lacks thorough explanations of vital concepts like activity lifecycle and idiomatic Kotlin practices. It tends to guide readers through coding without adequate discussions on Kotlin's features or Android's more complex architecture, leaving some users feeling the book is somewhat shallow. It's particularly noted that those already familiar with programming may not find the book comprehensive enough for their needs and are recommended to seek alternative texts that delve deeper into both the Kotlin language and Android development practices. In summary, while the book effectively serves as an entry point for absolute beginners, it falls short for more seasoned developers looking for in-depth knowledge and practice in Kotlin and Android programming. **
